The assumptions behind the maths

  • Headline list price: WagePerks publishes Employee Benefits at £4.50 per employee per month for direct SME customers (exc. VAT, rolling monthly), with HR Starter at £0 / month for up to 25 employees. The payroll company wholesale rate is a confidential discount on the Employee Benefits price, set by commercial agreement.
  • Indicative wholesale range: £2.50–£3.50 per employee per month, depending on committed monthly minimum and the depth of onboarding support. The calculator uses the midpoint £3.00 for display.
  • Markup is the company's choice. The £1.50 default is conservative; many companies mark up by £2.00–£3.00 on benefits + HR bundles.
  • Payback assumes per-client onboarding effort. The "months to payback" line is the time it takes the company-side monthly margin to repay the one-off configuration time.
  • Branding. Each client's web portal carries its own logo and colours, or yours, with Employee Benefits, set up by us. The mobile app takes the main brand colour. The web address, the app's store name and the system's emails stay WagePerks.
  • Bolt-ons are separate. The calculator models Employee Benefits only. Rotas and clock-in (the Shift Management bolt-on, £49 a month for the first team + £39 for each additional team at list price) and the Health & Wellbeing add-on (+£2 per employee per month at list price) are not included.
