Are the doctors real, qualified GPs?
Yes. Every doctor on the service is GMC-registered and practising in the UK. Many are also NHS GPs who provide private consultations through the platform. You're speaking to real, qualified medical professionals.
Can doctors actually prescribe medication?
Absolutely. Our GPs can issue prescriptions electronically, which are sent directly to the employee's nearest pharmacy. Private prescriptions are issued via the supplier's UK pharmacy partners where clinically appropriate.
Is this a replacement for the NHS?
No — it complements the NHS. For urgent but non-emergency issues, it gives your team fast access without the wait. For anything requiring hospital treatment or A&E, the service will always direct employees to the appropriate NHS pathway.
How much does it cost on top of the base plan?
The 24/7 GP service is available as part of the GP + EAP add-on for an additional £2 per employee per month, on top of the £4 base price. That's £6 total per employee per month for benefits, GP access, and the Employee Assistance Programme.
Can employees' family members use the service?
The GP service is available to the named employee. Exactly which dependants the bundled Employee Assistance Programme covers is set out in the signed Data Processing Agreement and supplier schedule — ask us for the confirmed scope before you commit.
