What works today
WagePerks doesn't run payroll. Payroll stays in BrightPay, run as it is today, by the business or its payroll company.
Each pay period, the payslip PDFs that BrightPay produces are uploaded to WagePerks, one PDF per payslip. BrightPay's monthly payslip layout is built in, so WagePerks reads each payslip as it is and files it under the right employee by National Insurance number. Staff then find their payslips, and their P60s, in WagePerks — the same place they use for benefits, leave and HR — without PDFs going round by email.
What isn't built
There's no live connection between BrightPay and WagePerks. Pay data, new joiners, leavers and holiday balances aren't passed between the two automatically, and there's no payroll API. If a live connection matters to you, talk to us.
How this fits
WagePerks is an SME portal on a rolling monthly contract. Payroll stays in BrightPay. Employee Benefits, at £4.50 per employee per month, covers benefits, HR, payslips, documents, e-signatures, onboarding, recognition, absence and surveys, with your logo and colours on the web portal. Rotas and GPS clock-in are the Shift Management bolt-on, from £49 a month.
